Myths, Legends, and Dreams is a Speculative Fiction anthology featuring the works of the members of the Worldsmyths writing community. Founded in 2016, we wanted to do something BIG to celebrate our fifth anniversary, and this anthology was born!
Sixteen stories feature fresh new ideas from budding authors. Inside you will get to know the work of Ryan Gale, Michael Epanchin, Sean Kane, Allusir, Freya Bell, Ally Kelly, Emma Schouten, JC Farnham, Caitlin Donovan, CP Mills, Alex Harvey, Natalie J. Thrall of the Dark Wood
Young mother Ilse arrived in Forst village seven years ago with an infant in her arms and another little one on the way. Secretive about her previous life, most assumed Ilse to be an unwed harlot, driven from her home by her family’s shame. Ilse is especially tight-lipped about the most pressing question: who the father of her children is.
Ilse bore the burden of their rumors with ease, and for seven years lived in relative peace in a small house just outside of the Dark Wood – a forest that many believed was home to inhuman creatures. None but Ilse had ever dared to live that close, fearing that they would be lured into the Wood, never to return.
When Ilse and her children disappear, seemingly out of thin air, the village assumes the Dark Wood has claimed their lives. What they don’t know is that the father of Ilse’s children, who most assumed to be some nobody from Ilse’s home village, is actually much closer than they thought. He comes from the Dark Wood – and he wants his family back.
Not So Ordinary
This story revolves around the life of 4 different people:
Sara: a high schooler with a conservative personality who’s good at only one thing; studying, but she studies well only to maintain her reputation as “the genius one” with no aim in life. Till now when the SAT is just around the corner, she doesn’t know which path to take because nothing interests her.
Next comes the heartbreaker, Elijah: a college dropout, during his first year in college he changed his major 5 times and then finally left college; his father being a very laidback person wasn’t affected by his son’s antics. Now he’s 24 with a high school degree doing random jobs because he must support himself overall. His good looks get him all the girls, but he can’t stay with a girl longer than a month because after a month they start to get clingy, wanting attention whereas all he wants in a relationship is physical intimacy.
Then comes Charlotte: age 33, a doctor, she had spent all her 20s paying her student loans but is still in debt because of his father’s health condition. Because of this reason, all man who approaches her run away; no one wants a woman whose 70% pay is used to pay off her debt monthly. So, she’s called “The pitiful doctor/spinster” by her relatives.
And in the end, comes Mr. William: a schoolteacher, who had been teaching the same subject at the same school for the past 10 years. He’s a very intellectual person and could do much better with his life but one thing that he had never done is to take a risk, although his monotonous routine bores him still he keeps living the same repetitive life.
These 4 people who are living in different worlds have something in common, their lives are repetitive with no challenges_ in simple words they are ORDINARY.
These 4 Ordinary people don’t know what is waiting for them, entangled in a world of murder, crime, trafficking, mafias, politics, and everything bad; wait and see how their lives will get connected.

The Vampire Prince's Toxic Consort
Lucius thought his life was over when his parents married him to the notorious vampire crown prince Dorian. Worst of all, they married him under his twin brother's name so their more precious son wouldn't be defiled.
Being the second choice his whole life, Lucius accepted his fate to protect his brother, his family and his country. He had to navigate his way through the vampire court full of predators and deadly schemes, play dangerous games with powerful enemies and walk on the edge of killing or being killed.
However, he didn't prepare for falling in love helplessly with his enigmatic husband.

Romance Uncliched!
Hopeless romantic Yu Junming is over the moon when he lands a job at the RomCon startup as a ConCoct agent. From meet-cutes to ultimate airport runs, he must re-enact surreal romantic scenes to fit a client’s dreams. Sadly, he botches his assignments and learns the hard way that romance needs a dash of practicality.
Despite his track record, he’s soon tasked to help his boss, Grayson Black - a die-hard cynic who dislikes him at first sight - to find love. Through disastrous dates, the two men grow closer and realize there’s more to each other than meets the eye.
Junming fantasizes about seeing even more of Grayson but he also finds himself drawn to Fernanda, a spunky and eccentric undercover reporter who masquerades as a RomCon client. When Fernanda unexpectedly ends up heartbroken after an awful date, she falls for Junming. Pitiably ignorant of her mission to dig up dirt on RomCon, Junming is stuck between two people and a hard place called reality.
