خطأ لا يُغتفر يضع أيدن في أكثر سجون العالم خطورة بعد أن قتل عن غير قصد زوجًا ثريًا يتمتع بصلات جيدة. يقع هذا السجن في جزيرة معزولة بعيدًا عن الحضارة، ويُعرف باسم "سجن الجحيم" الذي يمتلك تسلسل هرمي و"ملك" خاص به.

يائساً للحماية من شنايزل، والذي يجب عليه مشاركة زنزانة صغيرة معه، ما الذي يمكن أن يفعله أيدن لحماية نفسه من القتل - أو الأسوأ - طفي السجن من الجحيم، حيث حتى ظلك يتخلى عنك في الظلام؟
