In the land of Raelfen, there is a definite hierarchy. First, your race determines how powerful you are. Elves and Vampires are the ruling class due to their immortality and extraordinary abilities. Werewolves though powerful and dangerous, are the ruling class' pets. And at the bottom of the foodchain are ogres and humans.
However, the worst fate of all has to be being born a woman. Under the new king's rule it has been outlawed for women of any race to be aducated or use magic or do anything except for to charge men with magic through sex.
Living in one of the boarder towns of Raelfen, Tania has never directly faced the harsh laws of her country until dozens of soldiers capture her family by direc order of the king. Now Tania must adapt to life in the capitol enrolled in an academy that only teaches women how to be slaves to the important men of the country.
Having lived with her family's love her entire life, Tania knows exactly what she'll lose if she stays especially since she has magic that will undoubtedly get her punished by Raelfen law. Magic that she does not yet know how to control.

This is the start of an idea for a book I had in mind. I don't know how much I will post here or if I will post any more of it here, but I think the general idea is to develop this girl into half-ghost half-human samurai (yes I got the idea from Youmu Konpaku from the Touhou Project) with her own original story and origin, goals, powers, other characters etc. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this brief peek.

We all have to admit the times before us were unbelievable. Like, there was a war apparently? And citizens were drafted? And cocaine was in our sodas? And a man who has a salary of minimum wages could buy a house and support his family? Like, geez. But still, adults love to tell stories that definitely cannot be real. Stories like, like my father once told me he used to run 3 kilometres everyday after school to reach home within half an hour so that he coukd watch his favourite tv show. If you don't realise, that makes him faster than Ussain Bolt. Anyhow, this is a story of a similar man, a seline man. Perhaps your grandpa who is more than willing to tell you stories of his past.

I'm a non-native, and this is my first English novel, therefore my writing pace is still slow and the use of words isn't that good yet.
