The city of Londinium is made up of several thousand people scraping out an existence in a man made cavern. With Earth’s surface uninhabitable, the sub-city relies on highly sophisticated life support machinery for their continued existence. Keeping all that machinery in working order is a difficult task, considering it’s been in place for close to a century.
On one hand, Londinium has Tarriq to oversee the upkeep of the systems that make continued life possible. He’s a specialist when it comes to this. On the other hand, Tarriq is an ill-tempered misanthrope. If he could live a hermit’s life with his partner Meshani, he would in a heartbeat. But the sub-city desperately needs his unique skills.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard Tarriq tries, the machinery needs more and more upkeep with each passing year. Multiple unexpected equipment failures have Tarriq running himself ragged. He can keep jury rigging the systems for only so long, as they really need to be replaced, and that job is entirely too big for just one person.

For thousands of years, wars and plagues destroyed the continent of Damocles as fae went against fae, all vying for power and dominance of the lands. It was during the last Great War that a Wytch rose up and cursed the world in hopes to stop the fighting; not a single fae would be born until the fighting ended. One fae decided to take it upon himself to search for the maker of the curse and end it; to bring peace and life to the lands he loved so much. When he found the Wytch who cursed the world, he was made to make an offer before such a feat of undoing could be done. This is set in the same world as my novel "Salvage", but they are completely independent stories. You don't have to read one to read the other. (This one is back in medieval times, about 400 years prior to Salvage.)
Just like in Salvage, here you can expect some humor and some angst (and some occasional smut) and a bunch of hot messes just doing their best. Despite the seemingly salacious premise, this is a love story at its heart, as well as a story of friendship and found family.
