Hello, everyone. I hope you're all doing well. You might be wondering why I disappeared, haven't updated my book, and deleted all my social media, plus my website. After putting Sidelines on hiatus for two weeks to finish a short webcomic I was creating for Tapas back in May, I received a few messages asking why I stopped the story. It was only meant to be a short break, but during that time, my story was reported again, and I was flooded with negative reviews.

I honestly didn’t understand why this was happening or why people were saying so many harsh things about me and my work. I write because I enjoy it, and for now, I’ve never pursued monetizing my work because I don’t feel the need. I know my style may not be like others. My stories tend to be melancholic, slow-paced, and not explicit enough for certain tastes. But that doesn’t give people the right to attack me.

I ended up having a mental breakdown to the point where I couldn’t write or draw, leading to a kind of paralysis. I took the last few months to think and traveled over the summer because my husband couldn't stand seeing me like that. It helped, and now I’m trying to rebuild my confidence and start again because I don’t want to give up.

To regain some confidence, I’ve started a new story for the Action Fantasy contest as a way to push myself. It's just 20 chapters, and I'm hoping it will help me feel more comfortable writing Sidelines again. I don't want the book to stagnate, but I'm also scared to continue. Some projects are meant to be left behind, while others deserve a chance to be finished. So, I’ll probably continue writing Sidelines, but first, I plan to edit and maybe change some scenes. I’ll also bring back my other omegaverse stories.

Well, I want to concentrate on making the extra content you will enjoy soon and on those WIPs that will someday see the light. And, of course, be more consistent on the schedule so you will know when Sidelines will be posted unless I say otherwise or take a break.
