Hidden Adversary
Hey Readers! So… this was the first story I ever wrote as a kid.
I posted it back in 2018 but i felt like bringing it back with some cleanup here and there. Grammar’s better now (a bit i guess?), but I didn’t touch the core. Figured I’d let the heart of it stay the same. Nostalgia, maybe. Or just respect for where I started.
You’ll probably notice how rough it is. I did too. Cringed a little, not gonna lie. But it’s part of the journey. I’ve come a bit of a long way since then, learned more about story flow, structure, all that. Still learning, honestly. Always will be, knowledge and experience are limitless... there's no end
Just think of this version like it’s from an alternate universe. Same characters, different path. I’m working on the new one now, so if you’re curious, keep a lookout.
Anyway, thanks for coming and reading it, especially if you stick through the mess my younger self made. Hope it doesn’t burn your eyes too badly.
Takara Yumi: Shadow Web
In a world devoid of superheroes and supernatural beings in the eyes of a girl, Takara Yumi is a devoted fan of superheroes since childhood. Inspired by her lifelong admiration, she decides to pursue her greatest aspiration: becoming a hero herself.
Utilizing her exceptional intellect gift, she invents a grappling hook glove and wears a protective hoodie, assuming the persona of "Shadow-Web", a hooded vigilante.
Guided by one of her favorite hero quotes, "With great power comes great responsibility," Yumi wholeheartedly embraces her purpose in life. With every step she takes, a new chapter in the life of Takara Yumi takes shape.
